Davao City Health Office Wins DOH Award


Davao City Health Office recently received the Outstanding Healthy Lifestyle Advocacy Award given by the Department of Health (DOH) for its continuous implementation of programs that helped prevent the spread of non-communicable diseases (NCD).

Davao City Mayor Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio received the award — P100,000 cash and plaque of recognition — in Metro Manila. Other award recipients are
municipalities of Varuela in Agusan del Sur and Carmona in Cavite (local government unit category), Episcopal Diocese of Northern Philippines- Bontoc in Mountain Provinces (non-government organizations/institutions category), and Novartis HealthCare Philippines (business / commercial category).

Certainly, this is a manifestation of how Davao City cares for its citizens, delivering services and getting awards to prove its among the best in the whole country.
